Welcome to
Johnny Watson Photography
Landscape and Scenic

    Washington Monument and our Flag.

Johnny Watson Photography specializes in scenic, landscape and decor photography. We are a small studio operating from Columbus, GA, doing scenic, decor, event, sports, and advertising photography. My clients are individuals or companies seeking advertising, decor, and scenic or landscape photography, particularly in Georgia, in the Smoky Mountains including Cade's Cove, and of seascapes and lighthouses. I also assist other photographers in providing extra capability or in covering additional events or areas of interest that may occur simultaneously.

We would like very much to hear your comments or questions about our site or our photography. Please e-mail us at the address below.

The Eagle and Phenix Mill and Dam. The dam was recently destroyed to allow building of a "whitewater" rafting course, said to be the longest such course in an urban setting in the country.

This image taken with Canon Digital.
This image available for purchase. See order page or send e-mail to address above.

Mabry's Mill on the Blue Ridge Parkway in southern Virginia. This is probably the most photographed mill in the country.

This image taken as usual with an older model Nikon F.

The lighthouse at St. Marks, FL. I took this at dawn on an overcast day from beneath a derelict pier. Water was at low tide. The current tower dates from 1842. It still stands and operates despite years of hurricanes and shelling during the Civil War.

This image taken as usual with an older model Nikon F and is now available for purchase.

Barn taken above the Alpine style town of Helen, GA in the north Georgia mountains. The time was in late October.

This image also taken with an older model Nikon and is now available for purchase.

The harbor at Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia. Taken on a soft, overcast day in July.

This photograph taken with an old Nikon F2.
This image available for purchase. See order page.

White Tiger (from a distance).

This image taken with Canon Digital.

Foggy morning on the Riverwalk at Columbus, GA.

This image taken with Canon Digital.
This image available for purchase.

I couldn't resist taking this shot of a bird from one of the fishing boat piers at Panama City, FL. The small lighthouse in the background made it an interesting composition.

This photograph also taken with an old Nikon F2.
This image available for purchase. See order page.

Cable Mill in Cade's Cove in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. This is one of the most photogenic spots in the country, especially in the fall. Deer, turkey, and bear are abundant. The old cabins and churches of the original settlement still remain to this day.
